At BIPVco, we believe that supporting the next generation is an important part of being a responsible British manufacturer.
As a manufacturer of innovative thin-film solar technology in Newport, South Wales, we are proud to engage with local schools and education providers to help young people understand the opportunities available within manufacturing, engineering, renewable energy and technology.
Through school visits, workplace experiences, careers engagement, talks and STEM activities, we aim to give students a practical insight into how solar technology is designed, developed and manufactured here in Wales. We also want to demonstrate the wide range of careers that sit behind a modern manufacturing business – from engineering, science and production to design, finance, sales and business operations.
By working with local schools, we hope to inspire curiosity, develop an interest in STEM subjects and help young people see the opportunities available within their own community.
